Focus on what can be done!

After a good day at the office, I bike to our allotment. I look at everything that has grown, or quite honestly, at everything the snail, badger or volley rat has eaten. A good moment of insight! To realize once again that everything that happens inside and outside this 100 square meters affects each other. Everything I do in my vegetable garden affects the natural area around the garden. And everything that happens around the garden affects my plants. And on my hard work, of course.

My heart rate slowly creeps toward 150 beats per minute. Around me, the walls of snow loom. The air becomes thinner, my breath faster. Between me and the summit of the Passo di Gavia is still about 6 kilometers. Thanks to modern technology, I know exactly what to expect and can dose the climb well. Just under half an hour later, I am at the top and enjoying the winter views of the Italian Alps. I breathe in a big gulp of satisfaction. I have reached this dot on the horizon! Fortunately, there are still plenty of mountain peaks around me to conquer. Still small dots for now.
