Our motives

What do we stand for

LIOF supports innovative entrepreneurs with advice, networking and financing. We are there for every startup, scale-up and SME with an innovative idea, a business plan or a financing request as well as for (foreign) entrepreneurs who want to establish themselves in Limburg. We also help with cross-border cooperation and international business.

Together with entrepreneurs and partners we work towards a smarter, more sustainable and healthier Limburg by focusing on the transitions energy, circularity, health and digitalization. And LIOF employees play a crucial role in this.

These are important core values for us, which we like to propagate. Internally, towards our colleagues but also externally. In order to properly help our clients and relations with our advice, financing and opening up our network.

And we also stand for Diversity and Inclusiveness.

We strive for a diverse, inclusive group of employees. A diverse team, where everyone makes an important contribution from their own reference, is empowering, leads to higher engagement and better results. A culture where diversity is a great thing and everyone feels seen is our goal. We have associated ourselves with various social initiatives such as Together Against Food Waste, Code-V (for accelerating female entrepreneurship) and Trees for All.

Fun and socially engaged

LIOF is more than just work

Together with your colleagues you can be sporty by taking part in regional running events, a cycling tour, improve your cooking skills during a cooking workshop, enjoy a burgundian getaway to a nice city, stand on skis with your colleagues or do social work. For example, by participating in an event with regional impact on people and society that LIOF sponsors.

In 2022 we started donating to charity on behalf of speakers instead of giving flowers or a bottle of wine as a thank-you for the speaker. We selected three charities in different areas. These touch the circular and health transition and have a direct impact on a better living environment in Limburg.
1. Environment: Maas Cleanup
2. Health: Children's Research Fund Limburg
3. Social/Inclusiveness: Little Fair Limburg.
