National network

LIOF is one of nine Regional Development Agencies in the Netherlands. Every year, the RDAs create thousands of new jobs and generate billions in investments in the regional economy. Through innovation, investment and internationalisation, the RDAs are the regional drivers of innovation and competitiveness. Visit the ROM Nederland website for more information.

We work closely at national level with Trade and Innovate, Invest NL and RVO (Netherlands Enterprise Agency), including the Netherlands Patent Office.

Within Limburg, we collaborate with the four Brightlands campuses and, of course, the various educational institutions.

Euregional network

Strengthening the Euregio is one of LIOF's tasks. This means that we are also active outside Limburg and have a network to help entrepreneurs and increase innovative capacity. We have close contacts with co-financiers, knowledge institutions and campuses in the region.

For example, we are working with RWTH Aachen University to promote innovation in industrial and logistics companies. We are also collaborating with LRM, VOKA Limburg (both in Belgian Limburg), IHK and  NRW.BANK (both North Rhine-Westphalia) to connect companies and knowledge institutions in the Euregio as well.

In addition, LIOF is a partner of Interreg Europe, which offers numerous subsidy opportunities.

International network

We help entrepreneurs increase their clout abroad. For example, by supporting the export of products and services to international markets. We do this through our network. Our international trade developers are happy to put you in touch with the right parties. The focus here is on the agri-food, industry and logistics sectors.

In addition, LIOF organises incoming and outgoing trade missions to promote exports by Limburg entrepreneurs.
