National network

LIOF is one of the eight Regional Development Companies in the Netherlands. Every year, the ROMs realise thousands of new jobs and billions in investments in the regional economy. By innovating, investing and internationalising, the ROMs are the regional drivers of innovation and competitiveness. Go to the website of ROM Nederland for more information.

For our core task International, we cooperate closely at the national level with Trade en Innovate, RVO and Invest NL.

Within Limburg, we act together with the four Brightlands campuses and, of course, the various educational institutions.

Euroregional network

Strengthening the Euregion is one of LIOF's tasks. This means that we are also active outside Limburg and have a network to help entrepreneurs and to increase innovative capacity. We have close contacts with co-financiers, knowledge institutions and campuses in the region.

For example, we cooperate with the RWTH in Aachen to promote innovation among industrial and logistics companies.  We also cooperate with LRM, VOKA Limburg (both in Belgian Limburg), IHK and NRW Bank Aachen (both North Rhine-Westphalia) to be able to connect companies and knowledge institutions in the Euregion as well.

In addition, LIOF is a partner of Interreg Europe with many subsidy possibilities.

International network

We help entrepreneurs to increase their strength abroad. For example, by supporting the export of products and services to international markets. We do this through our network. Our international trade developers will be happy to put you in contact with the right parties. The focus is on the agro-food, industrial and logistics sectors.

LIOF also organises incoming and outgoing trade missions to promote the export of Limburg entrepreneurs.
