Limburg Startup Capital Fund
The Limburg Startup Capital Fund (LSCF) is a new fund for startups and innovative SMEs that contribute with their innovation to the main societal transitions of the coming years: energy, circularity, health and digitalization.
A tool tailored to the stage of your innovation
The Limburg Startup Capital Fund (LSCF) provides financial support for the development of your innovation from idea to market: from the initial development phase (the so-called 'proof of concept' phase) to further development or growth.
Is factually established in Limburg (physically and actively present);
Is in the life phase startup, scale-up or SME;
Has an innovative idea or product/service;
Has a clear focus on one of the four transitions: energy, circularity health or digitalization.
Financing features
Below you will find a brief overview of some of the features, but please feel free to call us for more information:
Financial support: maximum of €1,000,000;
Type of investment: share capital, possibly in combination with a convertible loan;
Term: for share capital, we aim for an exit after 5 to 7 years;
Loan interest rate: 5% plus reference interest rate.

LIOF has three financial teams, organized around the life phase of a company: there is a team startups, scale-ups and SMEs. An entrepreneur/company has similar, but also different challenges in each phase. This division enables us to offer more value to companies depending on the phase they are in.
These three financial teams also work closely with the Business Development department to provide companies with the broadest and best possible support, identify opportunities and realize impact.
