LIOF and Fibrant jointly invest in Pegasus Materials
Pegasus Materials B.V. manufactures high-quality biobased polymers. Using materials science, chemistry and synthetic biology, it designs sustainable alternatives to traditional petroleum-based materials. These biobased polymers can be used in electronics applications such as USB connectors and memory modules. But they can also be used for 3D printing spare parts, for example for the aviation and automotive industries.

This investment will enable Pegasus Materials to establish itself at the Brightlands Chemelot Campus, launch its first products and further intensify its collaboration with leading players in the high-tech industry.
Jeffrey Lutje Spelberg, Investment Manager at LIOF: “LIOF has invested in Pegasus Materials through the Limburg Startup Capital Fund (LSCF), a fund for start-ups whose innovations contribute to important social transitions such as circularity. By using biobased sources to produce monomers, Pegasus' activities are perfectly aligned with LIOF's aim to stimulate sustainable innovation and reduce environmental impact."
