CrossRoads Flanders-Netherlands is a project within the European Interreg Flanders-Netherlands programme and encourages cooperation between Flemish SMEs and SMEs in the southern Netherlands. The project subsidises product and process innovations that contribute to social transition priorities: sustainable entrepreneurship, sustainable energy, Industry 4.0 and healthcare.

For which projects, how much support and when to submit?

The call runs from 1 March to 26 April, 3 p.m. Each collaborative project must include at least one Flemish SME and one SME from the southern Netherlands. Knowledge institutions may also join a consortium, but they are not eligible for subsidies. The planned innovation projects will run for up to two years, with a maximum subsidy of €250,000 from the ERDF, which covers 50% of the total eligible costs.

The total subsidy budget for this call is €2,500,000. After the e-portal closes, the submitted innovation projects will be compared with each other on the basis of a number of predetermined criteria. Each project will be assigned a score based on these criteria, after which they will be ranked. Subsidies will then be awarded to the highest-scoring projects until the total subsidy budget has been exhausted.
