Joint Corridors
Move your international cargo from road to rail and water

From road transport to multimodal transport

For the supply, removal and transit of goods, unnecessary use is made of traditional, individual and unilateral road transport. As a result, social and economic goals are not being met. The emerging goals around CO2 emissions, the maintenance plans of the congested road network and at the same time an increasing growth in freight volume, stimulates the search for and experimentation with other modalities.

Future-proof transport, where innovation and cooperation come together, is becoming a necessity if we are to remain competitive. Transport where perfect availability, cooperation scale, sustainability and mobility go hand in hand. Therefore, make optimal use of the various modes of transport via Joint Corridors and also become extraordinarily reliable and 400% competitive!

Why multimodal?
"A freight train takes up to 50 trucks off the road, reduces CO2 emissions 9 times. A barge takes 100 trucks off the road, reduces between 3 and 6 times the CO2 emissions," said Ivo Schepers, program manager Joint Corridors Off-Road for LIOF.

What can LIOF offer companies?

LIOF is a partner in the national program 'Joint Corridors Off-Road' of the Top Sector Logistics. Through this program, LIOF facilitates and supports companies in the development of joint transport routes that make optimal use of rail, water and road transport.

We can make a calculation for the reduction of CO2 or assist in the application of the modal shift subsidy scheme created by the Dutch government to promote the transition from road to water and rail. For more information please contact Ivo Schepers: +31 (0)6 5252 1947.
