Smart Manufacturing Day

Discover what can be imagined through the possibilities of Industrie 4.0 during the Smart Manufacturing Day at the Brightlands campus in Heerlen.

Today, many products and processes are equipped with sensors that are interconnected and share information. Machines can independently optimize processes and repair themselves before they threaten to fail. And robots are increasingly working together with people. The added value? Manufacturers are becoming more efficient, more flexible, seeing improved production output and discovering new business opportunities.

To take full advantage of these digital solutions, companies in the manufacturing industry need to adapt and implement a digital mindset. Therefore, Brightlands Smart Services Campus together with Brightlands Chemelot Campus, VDL Nedcar, Maastricht University, European Digital Inovation Hub Zuid-Nederland and the LIOF organizes the Smart Manufacturing Day. During this day we will show how digitalization plays a role in the current industrial transitions.
