Big Science Business Forum 2026

From 27 to 30 October 2026, Maastricht will host the Big Science Business Forum 2026 (BSBF2026). This international business forum brings together companies, knowledge institutions and major European research organisations to explore new collaborations and business opportunities.

LIOF will be present to connect Limburg-based companies with international opportunities and to showcase Limburg as a strong and innovative region to international companies and organisations.

Access to international opportunities

Major European research organisations will invest billions in new technologies, infrastructure and innovative solutions in the coming years. At BSBF2026, entrepreneurs will gain insight into €25 billion in upcoming procurements and future technological needs.

The forum also offers a unique opportunity to connect directly with procurement officers, project managers and technical experts from international research organisations such as CERN, ESA and ESO, as well as representatives from affiliated organisations and the other 200 exhibitors. This gives you the opportunity to discover where your technology, product or expertise could contribute to future projects and international supply chains.

BSBF2026 offers an excellent opportunity to expand your international network, explore new collaborations and discover what opportunities future projects and tenders could offer your business.

LIOF and EEN connect Limburg with the world

For LIOF, BSBF2026 provides an important international platform. Together with Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), we connect ambitious companies with international knowledge, partners and networks. But our support goes beyond making connections. At LIOF, we also provide expertise, access to funding and an extensive network to help companies innovate, build partnerships and grow internationally.

At the same time, the forum provides an opportunity to introduce international companies and organisations to Limburg. With its strategic location at the heart of Europe, strong knowledge and innovation clusters and international connections, Limburg offers an attractive environment for doing business, collaborating and investing.
