MIT Zuid
The subsidy scheme for SME innovation stimulation Top Sectors South Netherlands (MIT South) supports SME companies in the south of the Netherlands in setting up innovative projects. For example, there is a subsidy for testing the feasibility of a development and for R&D cooperation. Please note: the scheme for R&D Cooperation Projects is now open and closes on 13 September.

Instruments for innovative SMEs in the south of the Netherlands
The government uses two instruments within MIT South to stimulate the innovative power of SMEs: the feasibility project and R&D cooperation.
Subsidy for top sectors
The focus is on the four societal themes of the mission-driven knowledge and innovation policy (the so-called Knowledge and Innovation Agendas: KIAs), the further development of key technologies and societal earning power. These are the KIAs within which the project must fit
the KIA energy transition and sustainability
the KIA agriculture, water and food
the KIA health and care
the KIA security.
Feasibility Project
Map out risks and resources
With a feasibility project you identify the technical and economic risks of a proposed development. Possibly supplemented by a small part industrial research or development. This gives you a good idea of the resources you need to carry the project through.
Opening: April 12, 2022
SMEs that want to submit a project are advised to take the content of the policy into account. For projects that are already focused on the various social tasks not much will change. For other projects, however, this may be the case. For the context of the new policy, for the Knowledge and Innovation Agendas (KIAs) and for examples you can orient yourself via www.topsectoren.nl and via the Stimulus website.
For this instrument, processing takes place in order of submission (first come, first serve). The day the grant application is complete is the reference date. All complete applications received by April 12, 2022 will be treated equally. The assessment order of these applications will be determined by drawing lots. No later than 12 weeks after submission, a notification will follow and in case of approval, 100% payment of the allocated amount will take place (max € 20,000).

Binnen een R&D-samenwerkingsproject vernieuwen of ontwikkelen minstens twee MKB’ers een product, productieproces of dienst. Het uiteindelijke doel is verdere groei van je onderneming. Daarnaast levert de samenwerking met een andere Limburgse MKB onderneming je kennis op.
De regeling voor R&D-Samenwerkingsprojecten gaat 1 juni open en sluit 13 september.
Voor dit instrument wordt het tendermechanisme toegepast. Alle aanvragen die binnen de tenderperiode volledig en juist zijn ingediend en die voldoen aan de regelingtechnische vereisten, worden kwalitatief beoordeeld door een externe, onafhankelijke adviescommissie. Na 12 weken volgt bericht en de betaling volgt gedeeltelijk. De eerste (max) 75% na kennisgeving, de rest na afwikkeling van het project.
