CIRCO Hub Limburg

LIOF and Rabobank are the founders of CIRCO Hub Limburg with the aim to inspire and encourage more circular business in Limburg.  Together we help entrepreneurs in concrete CIRCO tracks to realize their circular ambitions in practice: within 7 steps we take you from linear to circular! And we show you that this social impact goes hand in hand with economic return.

Annemoon Borst from LIOF and Remon Plummen from Rabobank will tell you more about it!

CIRCO Track horticultural residue streams

In September of this year, we will start a track especially for companies in the horticultural supply chain. There are valuable opportunities in the horticultural supply chain to make your company more sustainable and future proof. Think for example of the reduction of waste streams or the valorization of residual streams further down the chain.

Cooperation between the successive parties in the horticultural chain is essential in order to seize these opportunities and take steps towards sustainability and economic stability and growth. This calls for new products, services and business models.

The CIRCO Track

During this track we bring together a number of chain partners, from their own position in the chain and their own business case, to learn about circular entrepreneurship and circular design. In this way new opportunities are discovered together and circular entrepreneurship is brought to the next level.

This three-day track starts on September 15, 2022 and is specifically designed for companies in the horticulture sector. Your company fits in perfectly! In the attached leaflet you will find more information about all workshop dates and the costs of participation. For SMEs there is an attractive discount of 75% on the participation fee. The only condition is that you submit an application form with a clear and comprehensive motivation why you and your company want to participate.

Eventually, we will compile a varied group from the applications, which does have enough common ground to be able to spar.

CIRCO Track business chances for preservation

You are striving for cost reduction in your business processes? Towards a more future-proof business model? A stronger position in the market? And are you wondering if you can do this in a sustainable way?
Then this workshop cycle is perfect for you. We inspire and support you to see and use opportunities in your company and to take steps in the field of sustainability and economic stability and growth. This requires other products, materials, services and business models. But how do you make this concrete and put it into practice?

The CIRCO track

LIOF and Rabobank, together with the other three initiators of the Green Deal Sittard-Geleen, are organizing a three-day workshop to get you started. The unique thing about this program is that you do this together with other companies from your region. From everyone's own position and business case, you can gain knowledge of circular entrepreneurship and (re-)design, but also think about re-use, reduce and repair for example.

Who is the CIRCO Track for?

The CIRCO Hub Limburg focuses primarily on SMEs in Limburg. CIRCO tracks are available for participants from the construction, manufacturing, plastics and consumer goods sectors. We can also set up special tracks for chain partners, a sector or a theme specifically relevant to the circular economy, such as smart industry, product-as-a-service or return logistics. In short, please contact us if you are interested in exploring the opportunities for your company and we will see if there is a track starting soon that fits well with your ambitions.

What is a CIRCO track?

in seven steps from linear to circular

The CIRCO methodology offers a design approach, with which you design your circular value proposition (product, service, business model). During the CIRCO track you will discover circular business opportunities together with chain partners and develop your own case into a concrete plan, which is achievable for your company in the short term. You go through the track with a group of about 10 companies under the guidance of experienced trainers, who are active in the theme of the track. The group meets both physically and online and you follow online learning modules at times of your choice.

Who are the partners behind the Hub?

LIOF and Rabobank are the founders of the CIRCO Hub Limburg. Both organizations are strongly committed to a more sustainable Limburg, in which circularity plays an important role. They jointly help entrepreneurs during the track to realize their circular ambitions in practice.

The CIRCO method is used for this purpose. As a program of CLICKNL, CIRCO activates production companies and creative professionals to get started with circular design. By (re)designing products, services and business models circular entrepreneurship becomes possible in many cases. CIRCO is supported by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management.

The Province of Limburg endorses the importance of these tracks and supports this initiative through the program LimburgToekomstbestendig.

In order to make circular entrepreneurship the norm in and outside Limburg, we warmly invite other partners to work with us within specific tracks. We are already working with Triple Helix organizations such as Keyport. Would you and your organization like to be part of this Hub? Then please contact us. Together we can explore the possibilities.
